During his televised interview for Libyan WTV channel and Tabadul Platform, the Chairman of the Telecommunication and Information Technoligy Holding Company, Dr. Faisel Gergab, affirmed that the communications sector has maintained its unity and independence despite all the divisions, adding:” we have not meddled in the country’s political affairs… We have not financed any conflicting parties.”
“Over the past period, some holding companies have witnessed a number of administrative difficulties, among which were: Al Bounya Company For Investment & Services, and Libya Post Company… However, we have the administrative and financial authority over all the sector companies.”
” Since 2016, Al Bounya Company For Investment & Services has entered into a very dark tunnel. For instance, instead of considering means of development, ways of generating revenues and the possibility of salary payment, we got into adminstrative issues,” Dr. Faisel Gergab explained, adding:” more than 600 employees have been randomly recruited, which placed a significant burden on the company.
According to Dr. Gergab, the Telecommunication and Information Technoligy Holding Company spent over 860 million dinars on Al Bounya Company’s salaries.
