Dbeibeh stresses the necessity of launching a national project to maintain and develop the 24 sewage treatment plants
The head of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, conducted a field visit to the General Company for Water and Sewage, accompanied by the ministers of finance, local governance, transportation, and planning, to assess the company’s situation and identify the problems it faces in performing its duties. During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion was held with the company’s management committee and the head of the Housing and Facilities Operations and Maintenance Authority for the western region, Tripoli, the southern region, the central region, the eastern region, the Benghazi plain, the Green Mountain region, and the western mountain region.
During the meeting, Dbeibeh emphasized the necessity of launching a national project to maintain and develop the 24 neglected sewage treatment plants for over twenty years, stressing the importance of the water and sewage file, which is no less important than electricity.
Dbeibeh issued instructions to cooperate between the Housing and Facilities Authority, the General Company for Water, and the Ministry of Local Governance to identify the joint work areas and their aspects.
