Bashagha: “This is our commitment to the Libyan people”

The Libyan Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha said during the first session of the Council of Ministers in the city of Sebha: “We cannot address the crises of citizens and regions distantly. We must know the conditions of people in the spot, feeling their suffering through sharing, being with them and near them. This is the commitment of the Libyan government towards the people and its approach to direct communication and communication with all Libyans everywhere.”

He added: “Libya is not a prize until it is seized by a particular person, a particular government, or a particular family that believes that it can buy the country with the money of the Libyans, or thinks that it can buy men in exchange for giving up the country. Therefore, we have resolved to conduct our work as a legitimate national Libyan government emanating from the legislative authority in a democratic, transparent and fair manner.”

He continued: “We will look after the interests of our country and our people, and we will fear God when dealing with the homeland and the citizen, for reform, construction, reconstruction, justice in the distribution of wealth, justice in services, and justice in the quality of life for every Libyan citizen, equally without discrimination or exclusion.”
