The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Dolph Hokoning, to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, and support the holding of elections as soon as possible.
Dbeibeh stressed that the solution in Libya lies in going directly to the elections, by issuing the constitutional rule from the concerned parties so that the government can play its role in holding the elections, stressing the need to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.
The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met today, Thursday, with the President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, the Minister of Finance, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, the Director General of the Medical Services Support and Development Authority, Ahmed Melitan, and a number of relevant technical departments, to discuss the file of treatment debts inside and outside the country, and put practical steps for processing this file.
Dbeibeh stressed the establishment of a transparent and fair mechanism to ensure that the service reaches its beneficiaries, and the formation of sub-committees and central committees that will be responsible for dealing with the files submitted by patients, through approved standards.
The National Oil Corporation revealed the total local consumption of natural gas, amounting to one billion and 91 million cubic feet.
The total of the General Electricity Company amounted to 950 million cubic feet, as well as the National Oil Corporation about 111 million, the iron and steel complex and other small factories amounted to 13 million, in addition to cement factories that reached 17 million.
The Central Bank of Libya published the details of the requests for opening documentary credits that were implemented from 07/28/2022 to 08/11/2022.
This is based on the circular of the Banking and Monetary Control Department of the Central Bank of Libya No. 9 of 2020 dated 12/31/2020 regarding the regulations governing the procedures for opening documentary credits and in reference to paragraph No. 5 of the general controls in the aforementioned circular, which requires the approval of the requesting parties to open the credits. The Central Bank of Libya shall publish the details of those credits.
Our source reveals the postponement of the ruling in the appeal submitted by Mustafa Sanalla, the former head of the National Oil Corporation, regarding the decision to dismiss him.

The Prime Minister of the Libyan government appointed by Parliament, Fathi Bashagha, issued a decision allocating 75 million Libyan dinars as a deduction from the miscellaneous item of the state’s general budget for the year 2022.

Finance Minister Khaled Al-Mabrouk met today, Tuesday, with the Chairman of the Management Committee of the General Authority of the Social Solidarity Fund, Mustafa Al-Juaibi, and confirmed that the Ministry of Finance, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh to stand on the needs of the Fund and solve its financial problems and to know the main reasons that prevented paying basic pensioners’ salaries on time.
Al-Mabrouk announced the payment of salaries for the months of June and July, in addition to the month of August, to the basic pensioners during the next week, in the presence of the directors of the specialized technical departments and offices, explaining all the difficulties regarding the depth of the fund.
He reviewed the reports of the Revenue Department of the Fund and the failure of some parties to pay the accumulated obligations in his favor, in addition to searching for mechanisms for investment sources to finance the Fund to fulfill its obligations towards its beneficiaries from the basic pensioners, and it was agreed to hold regular meetings between the Ministry of Finance and the General Authority Management Committee.
Finance Minister Khaled Al-Mabrouk met today, Sunday, to discuss the unified salary schedule for entities funded by the public treasury, the stages of implementation procedures, and the measures taken with the issuance of the law by the House of Representatives, with the Chairman of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, Omar Tantoush.
Al-Mabrouk emphasized the publication of transparency reports and the principle of disclosure that are published monthly by the Ministry of Finance for public revenues and expenditures, and the discussion of the special salaries of some of the bodies funded by the public treasury and topics related to financial affairs, and the proposed general budget for the coming year 2023.
The Council of Ministers of the Government of National Unity, during its eleventh meeting for 2022, issued several decisions, the most prominent of which were granting permission to re-publish the Libyan Numbering Association, the approval of referring the salaries of the directorates’ employees to the office of the Ministry of Interior instead of directly transferring them to the security directorates to organize the workflow from the administrative aspect, approving the establishment of a hospital with a capacity of 200 beds, the establishment and equipment of a hospital for burns and plastic surgery in the southern region, and the approval of the estimated measures of operational expenses for the Tripoli Zoo prepared by the Tripoli Development Authority.
Also, approving the minutes of awarding the project to implement the dual coastal road sector (Tobruk, Amsaed) with a length of 150 km, granting permission to contract with the executing company in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Contracts Regulations and approving the required and necessary measures to implement the Prime Minister’s initiative for youth housing and needy families by transferring the ownership and subordination of the Libyan Company for Urban Development and Urban Development to the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank.
