Al-Abed receives the work of the committee concerned with the appointment decisions previously issued by the Libyan Interim Government

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation and the Minister of Civil Service designated by the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, met today, Monday, with the head of the committee that was formed in accordance with the Minister’s decision regarding appointment decisions previously issued during the period of the interim Libyan government, Mohamed Al-Marzouqi.

Al-Mazrouqi presented the work of the committee, which issued a detailed report on these appointments, the correct ones, and everything related to them.

The Council of Ministers of the Libyan government, headed by Fathi Bashagha, held a meeting today, Monday, in Benghazi, with the deputies Ali Al-Qatrani and Salem Al-Zadma, and a number of government ministers, to discuss the implementation of plans to overcome all difficulties and provide the necessary services to citizens in all Libyan cities.

Bashagha gave permission to disburse the financial mandates allocated to meet the needs of the municipalities and solve the difficulties, as the granted budget will provide the needs of the ministries and the crisis committees formed to provide their necessary services.

Al-Qatrani and Al-Zadma stressed that the government continues to practice its work with high morale, and the outgoing government’s attempts will not deprive them from continuing to work, and the Council of Ministers continues to hold its sessions.

Abu Janah is following up the procedures for preparing financial instruments to reward workers in isolation centers

Today, Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah, followed up the procedures for preparing financial instruments for the rewards of workers in isolation centers, in the presence of the Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department and the Financial Controller at the Ministry of Health.

Abu Janah stressed the financial administration’s employees the need to urgently complete the tasks entrusted to them, and to take into account the payment of the dues of workers in the isolation centers on time.

Al-Huwaij is following up on the implementation of Cabinet Resolution 540 regarding the adoption of the unified salary scale

Today, Sunday, the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, met with the Undersecretary for Commercial Affairs, Suhail Boushiha, the Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Tariq Al-Najjar, the Director of the Internal Audit Office, the Head of the Financial Department, the Head of the Treasury Department and his assistant, to follow up the implementation of Cabinet Resolution 540 of 2022 regarding the adoption of standard salary scale.

Al-Huwaij stressed the necessity of matching and organizing settlements with the Ministry of Finance, and following up on the implementation of the ministry’s staffing and affiliated entities to identify the actual employees.

The head of the Real Estate Registration Authority inspects the damages that occurred in the Tripoli branch building

Today, Sunday, the head of the Real Estate Registration Authority, Faraj Al-Mahmoudi, visited the headquarters in the Tripoli area, against the background of the events that took place yesterday, Saturday, in Tripoli, which led to a fire in the building in Tripoli.

He was accompanied by the director of the branch affairs office, Mohamed Al-Bhilil, the head of the Authority branch in Tripoli, Mohamed Al-Ammar, and a number of the authority’s employees.

Meanwhile, a committee from the Prime Ministry visited the branch building and observed the damage caused to the building. 

By inspecting the place, the authority reassured the citizens and all state agencies that the damage to the building is material only, and that the building is completely administrative, and all real estate files and records are kept in safe places.

Dbeibeh issues instructions to follow up on the conditions of the wounded in the recent Tripoli clashes

The Real Estate Registration Authority confirms that the documents and ownership documents are kept securely

The source also confirmed that all documents and ownership documents of real estate brochures and records are kept securely and have not been subjected to any damage.

The American ambassador praises the development in the performance of the Central Bank of Libya with regard to financial sustainability and maintaining the strength of the Libyan dinar

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddiq Al-Kabeer and his team, concerned project managers and consultants from international experts met today, Friday in Tunis, with the US Ambassador, Richard Norland to review with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) the development of the partnership between the Libyan and American sides within the technical support program, which was launched In September 2021.

Richard praised the remarkable development in the performance of the Central Bank of Libya with regard to financial sustainability and maintaining the strength of the Libyan dinar in light of a number of local and international crises, and its efforts in developing disclosure and transparency rates and publishing data periodically, as well as combating money laundering and terrorist financing crimes.

Ola Energy Kenya Limited appoints Dr. Youssef Elhemmali as a new general manager

Dr. Youssef Elhemmali has joined OLA Energy Kenya Limited as the General Manager effective 1st August 2022.

In addition to his role as General Manager, he is also the East Regional Business Officer overseeing the operations of the OLA Energy affiliates of Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan and Uganda.

He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Ecole Supérieure Robert de Sorbon in France, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Applications Oils on Internal Combustion Engines from the Petroleum Institute of France and a Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Institute of Industrial Technology in Tripoli, Libya. He brings in a wealth of experience in leadership, strategy and structure in the field of fuels and lubricants sales and distribution, having spent over 30 years in management roles in the oil industry in various parts of Africa. 

Dr. Youssef started his career at Zawiya Oil Refinery in Libya before joining Libya Oil now OLA Energy as the Deputy General Manager of Tunis. He has held the positions of General manager in OLA Energy Tunis, OLA Energy Morocco and most recently OLA Energy Sudan Limited.

As the General Manager at OLA Energy Sudan from 2016, he was responsible for overseeing the implementation of a business strategy that placed the oil marketing company at the apex of the oil industry in Sudan. While at OLA Energy Morocco, he was able to steer the largest affiliate in terms of sales volume and active in marine fuel, lubricants, benzene, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuels in the 10 airports in Morocco on a sustained growth in business profitability.

His appointment comes at a time when OLA Energy Kenya is implementing its expansion on the Retail network and other initiatives to increase overall market share in the petroleum product sales.

Last year, OLA Energy Kenya commissioned a new state of the art Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) plant in Nairobi that is fully automated with superior leak detection systems to guarantee safety. With the new plant and other planned LPG infrastructure projects, it reaffirms its commitment to clean and affordable energy.

OLA Energy Kenya’s commitment to its customers is also evident through the launch of the OLA Go application that allows customers to accumulate redeemable points each time they buy fuel, lubricants or LPG in any of the OLA Energy service stations. OLA Energy Kenya also launched Marhaba brand of convenience stores to focus on customer care with services corresponding to growing customer needs.

Al-Huwaij stresses the need to prepare a plan to complete the suspended housing projects and renew contracts to boost the economy

On Wednesday, the Minister of Economy, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, met with the head of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mohamed Al-Raed, and representatives of construction companies to discuss the problems and difficulties facing company owners regarding tax payment, banking procedures and local documentary credits, as well as recruitment of workers, ways to address them, and proposed solutions.

Al-Huwaij stressed the need to prepare a plan to complete the stalled housing projects, and to review and renew contracts, in a way that would move the wheel of the local economy and the public interest.
