Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Mangoush, received a Tunisian ministerial delegation, which included the Ministers of Industry, of Energy, of Transport, and of Trade, and the Director of the Tunisian Company for Refining Industries, in the presence of the Ministers of Oil, of Gas, of Economy, of Trade, and of Transportation, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation.

Al-Mangoush discussed with the Tunisian delegation relations of bilateral cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership that combines in all fields to serve the interests of the two countries.

The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, and the two deputies in the council, Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi, met today, Wednesday, with the head of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, the governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddiq Al-Kabeer, and the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak.

The meeting discussed the rates of disclosure, transparency and rationalization of government spending.

Al-Shahoubi signs a cooperation agreement in the fields of transport with the Tunisian Minister of Transport

Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Communications and Transport in the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, signed an agreement with the Tunisian Minister of Transport, Rabii Al-Majidi, which includes cooperation in the fields of transport, and reviewing the procedures of the governments of Libya and Tunisia, in the air transport file, through coordination between the aviation interest of the two countries.

The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding for scientific and technical cooperation in the field of meteorology and climate.

Al-Huwaij signs an agreement to establish a joint free economic zone between Libya and Tunisia at the Ras Ajdir crossing

Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al- Huwaij, and the Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Fadhila Ben Hamza, signed an agreement that includes the establishment of a joint free economic zone at the Ras Ajdir crossing.

This agreement includes lifting restrictions on the citizens of Libya and Tunisia, in addition to cooperation and trade exchange, and facilitating entry procedures for goods of foreign origin to Libya through Tunisian ports.

Khaled Al-Mabrouk follows the problems, difficulties, challenges and obstacles facing the workflow of the Customs Authority

The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, held a meeting yesterday, Tuesday, with the Director General and officials of the Customs Authority to find out the problems, difficulties, challenges and obstacles facing the functioning of the Authority and ways to solve them, support its employees, improve its performance and develop its capabilities and capabilities.

During the meeting, which was attended by directors of departments and regions of the Authority and heads of land and sea outlets nationwide, the minister stressed the importance of the role of the Customs Guard in supporting the national economy and combating smuggling of all kinds, especially the fight against drugs and psychotropic substances.

Khaled Al-Mabrouk added that the Ministry of Finance in the Government of National Unity seeks to develop the work of the Customs Authority at all levels and in various fields to develop solutions and mechanisms and take measures to solve all the problems facing the functioning of the Authority.

Dbeibeh issues his instructions to pay the salaries of October and November and to give priority in the unified salary scale to the health sector

Today, Monday, the head of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, instructed the Ministry of Finance to pay the salaries of October and November together, after the ministry’s delay in preparing the salaries for the month of October due to the work of updating and matching employee data.

Dbeibeh also instructed the Ministry of Finance to complete the work of matching the sectors and implement the unified salary scale, while giving priority to workers in the health sector.

The Public Prosecution orders the imprisonment of an employee of the Financial Services Control, Riqdalin, on charges of appropriating an amount of 1 million and 500 thousand dinars

The Public Prosecution ordered the detention of a financial services control employee in the municipality of Riqdalin, pending investigation, on charges of conspiring with the director of the Jumhouria Bank, Ragdalin branch, to seize an amount of one million and 500 thousand dinars from the financial values ​​allocated to pay the salaries of the employees.

The Office of the Public Prosecutor stated that the prosecutor investigated the information related to the incident of illicit gain through a banking operation that was carried out in the Republic Bank branch, Riqdalin, and revealed that a financial services control employee in the municipality of Riqdalin conspired with the bank branch manager to forge a bank check that he used to seize the aforementioned amount. Then they deliberately inserted it into internal transformations to disguise its source until it was easy for them to withdraw it.

He added that the Public Prosecution ended up accusing the employee attributed to the control of committing the crimes of forgery and abuse of the powers of the position for the purpose of achieving material benefits, and ordered his detention pending investigation. The control authorities were directed to enforce their order to arrest and bring the bank branch manager.

Al-Lafi discusses with the head of the National Oil Corporation future plans to raise production rates

The deputy in the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed during his meeting today, Tuesday, with the head of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Bin Gdara, the challenges facing the oil sector, foremost of which is the increase in production rates according to future plans.

During the meeting, Al-Lafi affirmed the full support of the Presidential Council for the National Oil Corporation and its neutrality from political tensions so that it can carry out its responsibilities and achieve its goals. For his part, the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation affirmed that the Corporation will continue its tireless work to increase production rates and their sustainability.

Dbeibeh inaugurates the 10th Libya International Exhibition for Communications and Information Technology

The head of the national unity government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, inaugurated today, Monday, the 10th Libya International Exhibition for Communications and Information Technology.

During his tour of the exhibition pavilions held on the grounds of the Tripoli International Fair, Dbeiebh stressed the need to activate the role of the private sector in the field of technology and communications.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Chairman of the Management Committee of the LPTIC, Mohammed Bin Ayed, the President of the Public Authority for Communications, Abdul Basit Al-Baour, and the Director of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Abu Bakr Qanuna.

It is worth noting that the exhibition works will continue during the period from 14 to 17 November, with the participation of more than 200 companies and institutions from the private and public sectors.

Dbeibeh agrees with his government ministers to stabilize Brega Oil Marketing company and enhance its ability to perform its tasks

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, agreed today, Monday, at the National Oil Corporation’s office, during a meeting with the ministers of oil and gas, Mohamed Aoun, the economy and trade, Mohamed Al-Hwaij,  of Finance, Khaled al-Mabrouk, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, and the director of Brega Oil Marketing Company, on a set of procedural steps that contribute to the stability of the Brega company, and enhance its ability to perform its tasks.

During the meeting, they discussed the existing obligations of Brega Marketing Oil Company, the mechanism for determining fuel needs, and the problems facing the company with distribution companies, in addition to discussing the start of the project to establish new tanks for the company in the city of Tripoli.

During his speech, Dbeibeh stressed the need to start settling the obligations between the Ministry of Finance and Brega Company, in order to correct the company’s situation, stressing the need to monitor the organization of the fuel file in terms of the relationship between the Company and the distribution companies, so that the contractual relationship is followed up in all its aspects.

Dbeiebh instructed the State Properties Authority to initiate the procedures for handing over the new site to Brega Company to start implementing the project to build new tanks to ensure the sustainability of fuel availability, in light of the suffering of Brega Company due to the lack of tanks for it for more than 8 years, which leads to a shortage of quantities from time to time.

The meeting was also attended by the two Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Communications for Maritime and Air Transport Affairs, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for District Affairs.
