The General Union of Petroleum: “Oil is the future”

In a statement to “Tabadul”, the representative of the General Union of Petroleum ,Luay Daoud, announced that the protest to be carried out next Wednesday in front of the National Oil Corporation aims at keeping vital areas, reopening oil fields and ports, and resuming oil production.

The representative of the Union confirmed that everyone is allowed to participate in this protest, including workers from all regions of the country, considering that the Union seeks to sustain the Libyan production in order to reinforce the state’s economy.

Today, the General Union of Petroleum called all Libyan workers from all sectors, associations and organizations to join the protest on the 12th of this month.

Libya: documenting attacks became necessary

During his meeting with Libya’s Ambassador to the United Nations Taher Al-Sunni, the Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross expressed the organization’s concern about the humanitarian situation in some areas in Libya.

On the other hand, Taher Al-Sunni emphasized the importance of documenting all attacks against field hospitals, civilians, as well as medical personnel in Libya.


Libyan Real Estate Development Forum: prominent agreements

In a statement to the Economic Newspaper “Sada”, Naamaman Elbouri claimed that the Libyan Real Estate Development Forum discussed several topics, most notably urban planning, and the reason why there are no new architectural plans in the Libyan state.

Elbouri added that the Forum discussed the 2025 vision to improve urban planning. Hence, some participants criticised the Libyan Urban Planning Authority for failing to provide the foundation for the development of Libya’s real estate sector. One example was the fact that Libya’s National Planning Council’s Libya 2040 Vision, which includes a vision to improve urban planning, but the plan has not been implemented since 2013.

“We discussed the public-private sector partnership”,he said, adding that the private sector can operate and finance some projects.

In his statement, Elbouri revealed that the Real Estate Trading Fund signed a joint cooperation agreement with Alinmaa Holding Company to finance some of its projects.

Libyan Real Estate Development Forum: Last Session

The second session of Libyan Real Estate Development Forum will be concluded today with the participation of Libyan officials and businessmen.

The closed discussion sessions started today in the morning to review mechanisms for establishing Blockchain Land Registry system.

Nevertheless, the session aims to discuss ways in order to develop a law on investment and real estate development as well.

Libya Discusses South Refinery Project

Khalifa Rajab Abdusadek, Chairman of the Management Committee of Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company, discussed South Refinery Project during a meeting with the Director General of Oil Industries at the National Oil Corporation along with the Deputy Executive Director of Engineering at Petrovac.

The meeting emphasized the main objectives of the project, the background information to be used in order study the plan, as well as the expected results of this study.

Banks in Libya: A joint cooperation in all fields

Yesterday, BSIC’s management held a meeting with the management of Al Baraka Bank in Tripoli.

The meeting discussed the cooperation between the two banks in the training field, marketing, as well as banking operations.

It also discussed ways to open branches and exchange experiences between them.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to hold joint meetings in order to prepare the terms of an inter-bank agreement as a way to activate a genuine partnership between them.
