The Board of Directors of the National Mining Corporation held today, Thursday, their first meeting for the current year, in Tripoli, with the General Director and branch managers of the Corporation.
The meeting discussed the obstacles facing the functioning of the Corporation’s branches and ways to address them and their needs in addition to protecting agricultural crops.
The Directors Board has agreed on the importance of communication and coordination between the Corporation and its branches to facilitate work between them.
The Undersecretary of the Health Ministry for Medical Centers Affairs, Tawfiq Al-Darsi, met today Thursday with the President of the Syndicate of Allied Medical Professions and the President of the Syndicate’s General Assembly.
The meeting was held in order to discuss the activation of a number of decisions related to the union’s employees, where Al-Darsi pledged to find urgent solutions to the problems facing the union’s work.
The Directors Board of the General Electricity Company of Libya met today, Thursday, with the regional director of the Middle East and North Africa for Total Energy, to complete the measures taken after the signing of the memorandum of understanding signed between the General Electricity Company and the French Total Energy.
The necessary arrangements for launching the implementation of the solar power plant project were also discussed.
The Minister of Economy and Trade in the National Unity Government, Mohammed Al-Huwaij and the Minister of Social Affairs Wafa Al-Kilani discussed the establishment of an authority to encourage productive families, and they agreed to assign a specialized consulting company to train them and develop their capabilities to raise the national economy.
This came during a meeting held by the two ministers yesterday, Wednesday, in the presence of the Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Privatization Affairs, the Head of the Commercial Registry Department and the Director of the Companies Department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, which was devoted to discussing the economic empowerment of productive families.
During the meeting, the working mechanism of public and private companies and economic institutions was also studied in implementing social responsibility in light of the current economic conditions, so that the Ministry of Social Affairs is responsible for identifying needy families and communicating with these companies to provide assistance to these families directly and under the supervision of the two ministries.
The Libyan Iron and Steel Company in Misrata has signed a joint work agreement with the Nuclear Research Center located in Tripoli.
This came after a long meeting between the officials of the two sides to discuss a number of points in which there is mutual benefit, provided that the implementation of its terms will be initiated in the coming days.
The Head of the Presidential Council of the National Unity Government, Mohamed Al-Manfi met today Wednesday with the directors of the branches of Saving and Real Estate Investment Bank, Derna, Al-Qubah, and Al-Marj.
The meeting discussed the problems and difficulties that hinder the work of the branches, which led to the low level of services they provide to customers, and the proposed solutions to overcome them.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Manfi stressed the role of the bank’s branches in the regions in implementation of the circulars issued by the General Administration recently to grant loans to young people through the branches to address the housing problem in the country, as well as developing an action plan to evaluate housing projects that are still under construction and housing loans to complete them.
The Acting President of the Communications and Informatics Authority Abdul Baset Al-Baour held a meeting today, Wednesday, with representatives of the private sector companies providing Internet service, in the presence of the General Director of the Department of Regulation Affairs, directors of admnistrations and heads of departments.
The meeting dealt with the problems and obstacles facing the workflow of these companies and finding solutions for them to ensure the performance of their services to the fullest.
The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, held a meeting today Wednesday, with the mayor and members of the municipality of Al-Riyayna, in the presence of the Ministers of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, and the State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, in addition to a member of the High Council of State for the city, Belqacem Debarz.
During the meeting, they discussed addressing the problems and struggles facing the work of the municipality, solving the water problem, improving services for citizens, and ways to activate the suspended projects in the city.
Dbeibeh also stressed the need to find the necessary solutions to all the problems in the municipality of Al-Riyayna and provide their needs, reiterating his support for this municipality and all municipalities throughout the country.
The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation in the National Unity Government, Ali Al-Abed Al-Ridha, met with the directors of departments, offices and agencies affiliated with the Ministry.
The meeting discussed the functioning of a number of departments, offices and affiliates, including information and documentation, which produced more than 100,000 reports under the President’s Youth Housing and Needy Families Initiative.
He also listened to the explanation from the departments regarding the progress of work, in particular the continuation of training courses at the training centres, as well as courses launched in the eastern and central region under the 2022 training calendar.
On the one hand, Al-Abed stressed the activation of alternatives to training agreements with companies. He called on the relevant departments to activate training for staff in accordance with the plan and to activate the memorandum of cooperation with the Libyan Academy of Higher Studies, stressing the continuation of coordination and periodic meetings to put the ministry’s general plan for the current year into effect.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Abed called for increased efforts to develop a working mechanism to promote training, rehabilitating and organizing the labour market, praising the efforts made by the directors of departments, offices and affiliated entities, and to work to overcome all difficulties so that all departments can play their role.
The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, held a meeting today Wednesday with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, in a meeting devoted to following up on the progress of work in the National Oil Corporation, and the difficulties it faces.
During the meeting, Al-Manfi praised the efforts of the employees of the Corporation, by bringing the entire production of Libyan oil back to work very quickly, despite the difficult circumstances facing them. He also stressed the importance of preserving this vital sector, and keeping it away from political strife, as its resources belong to all Libyans, stressing the need to develop the oil fields and ports affiliated with the Corporation with all its needs, as it is the only entity that manages the affairs of production, exploration, refining, export and sale of oil in Libya.
For his part, the head of the Corporation explained within the meeting the features of the development plan of the National Oil Corporation for the year of 2022, which aims to increase daily production, in addition to defining the existing obligations of the corporation over the past years.
