Al-Kabeer and his deputy are following up the implementation of the project to reunify the Central Bank of Libya

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Seddik Al-Kabeer and his deputy Ali Al-Hibri held a meeting today, Thursday, with the second steering committee of the project to reunify the Central Bank, in the presence of the project management office consisting of project managers and experts from Deloitte, the leading professional services company.

During the meeting, the progress made by the reunification project teams in implementing the project’s steps was discussed. The attendees also praised the efforts made, especially in implementing the joint plan to deliver liquidity of one billion Libyan dinars to the eastern region, in cooperation between the issuance administration in Tripoli and the issuance in Benghazi, to be distributed to the branches of commercial banks in the eastern region before the month of Ramadan.

The director of France’s Total Energies reveals the details of the agreement concluded with the National Oil Corporation

The director of the French Total Energies Company, Pascal Brent, said on Friday, as saying: « This agreement, which was issued by the French Total, is the continuation of commitments amounting to about 20 million dollars for oil projects that will be developed in coordination with the National Oil Corporation. »

Brent indicated that this agreement is considered as part of the French company Total’s acquisition of the American Marathon stake in the concessions of Waha Oil Company.

Signing of an agreement between the Instituto Cervantes and Repsol to finance the teaching of the first 20 Libyan teachers of the Spanish language

On Monday, March 28, 2022, an agreement was signed in the Tunisian capital between the Director of the Cervantes Institute and the Director of Repsol of Libya, in the presence and contribution of the Spanish Embassy in Libya by Javier García Larache.

It states in its content that Repsol will finance 30 thousand euros for a distance learning project for Spanish language students in Libya to train the first twenty Libyan teachers.

The Minister of Economy and Trade meets his Tunisian counterpart to discuss trade exchange between the two countries

The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij met with the Minister of Trade and Export Development Fadila Ben Hamza and the Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Naila Al-Qanji of the Republic of Tunisia yesterday, Thursday, March 31, 2022, to discuss aspects of cooperation in the fields of economy and investment and to enhance trade exchange between the two countries.

The ministerial meeting reviewed the mechanism for reviewing and activating the free trade agreement, working with the conformity certificate agreement between the two countries, establishing a joint free zone between the two countries, activating transit trade towards the African market, and raising the level of exports in coordination between the Export Development Center of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Tunisian Ministry of Trade and Export Development, and facilitating the movement of Businessmen and financial procedures, as well as organizing and controlling the movement of goods, medicines and medical equipment between the two countries.

The Minister of Oil stresses working in accordance with the Libyan Oil Law, as it is one of the best laws in the oil industry in the world

The Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohammed Aoun, held today, Thursday, the fourth regular meeting with the number of general managers, directors of departments and offices, and the ministry’s advisors.

During the meeting, the mechanisms of working on the energy transition file were discussed, in addition to the activation of the electronic government.

The Ministry of Finance confirms to our source the transfer of three months grants, ( April, May, June) to the Central Bank of Libya to be disbursed next week

The head of the media team at the Ministry of Finance, Omar Bseissa, confirmed today, Thursday, in a statement to our source, that the exchange permissions for the children’s grant for three months (April, May, June) have been transferred to the Central Bank of Libya.

In his statement to the channel, Bseissa stated that the remaining three months ( July, August, September ) will be transferred in the middle of Ramadan, and work is underway to be implemented by the Ministry of Finance.

Dbeibeh assures Al-Manqush of his support for the Libyan embassies abroad and solving all their problems

The Prime Minister of the National Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, visited this evening, Thursday, the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with the aim of inspecting the workflow of the ministry and identifying the problems facing its workflow.

An extensive meeting was held, headed by the Prime Minister, with the departments and offices of the Ministry, where Al-Manqush provided a summary of the Ministry’s activities during the current year, and how it dealt with all regional and international files.

Al-Manqush also told the Prime Minister in about the problems and difficulties facing the Libyan embassies abroad, which need a serious pause to address their situation.

Dbeibeh stressed the need to support Libyan embassies abroad, solve all their problems, and transfer their allocations, whether they are in Chapter Two or Three, as well as the need to regularize their salaries abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hands over to the Libyan Antiquities Authority an artifact recovered from the United States of America

Within the framework of the ongoing efforts of the Libyan State and the National Unity Government to recover Libyan antiquities smuggled abroad, and the role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in coordination with the Libyan Antiquities Authority in this field, and in continuation of the efforts undertaken by the Embassy of the Libya State in Washington with the competent American authorities to retrieve Libyan antiquities which came out of the country illegally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs succeeded in recovering a rare artifact called the « Marble Funeral Head », the piece of Libyan origins, as it was transferred illegally and an attempt was made to sell it at an auction in one of the exhibitions in New York City, « Aphrodite Gallery ».

In this regard, Mr. Omar Keti, the Undersecretary for International Cooperation and Organizations, received today 31 of March, Mrs. Marie de Meo, the General Director of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and her accompanying delegation, carrying the artifact known as the « Funeral Marble Head. »

In the presence of Dr. Mohamed Al-Shakshuki, the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr. Mohamed Al-Darrat, the Personal Envoy of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government to the United States, and Mr. Khalid Al-Daif, the Chargé d’Affairs at the Libyan Embassy in Washington, and the Chairman of the Committee for the Recovery of Stolen Funds and Property.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expresses its sincere thanks to the concerned American authorities and the efforts made by them, and the distinguished cooperation they have shown with the Libyan Embassy in Washington to recover the Libyan artifact « the Marble Funeral Head » and return it to the homeland, looking forward to further cooperation and coordination in the field of combating antiquities smuggling and protecting human and cultural heritage.

The conclusion of the activities of the Arab Governmental Administration Forum in the Emirates, with the participation of the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation

The work of the Arab Government Administration Forum in the United Arab Emirates was concluded, yesterday, 30th of March, 2022, in the presence of the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida and the Ministers of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Arab countries, with the General Secretary of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Abu Al-Ghit.

Al-Abed holds an important meeting with his Egyptian counterpart

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation of the of National Unity Government, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, held a meeting today in Cairo with his Egyptian counterpart, the Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Mahmud Saafan, in the presence of Murad Hemima, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, Youssef Murad, Head of Passports and Nationality, and a number of officials from both sides.

The Minister also reported the beginning of the meeting with the depth and authenticity of the relations between the two brotherly countries. The meeting dealt with a number of points, most notably reviewing the continuity of the electronic linking process, organizing and facilitating the movement of Egyptian labor hands, and the problems and obstacles facing the return of Egyptian companies to work in Libya.

During the meeting, the Minister was briefed on the experience of the smart labor inspection in Egypt and discussed the idea and to activate it in Libya.
