The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs reveals important developments regarding the file of the displaced

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs for Branch Affairs, Faraj Mujahid, said during a press conference that the Minister of Social Affairs Wafa Abu Bakr Al-Kilani issued Resolution No. 78 of 2022 to study the files of the displaced and to provide solutions to them.

He added: “Accordingly, the committee under our leadership has received the lists of displaced persons referred to us from the Office of Displaced Persons, as the number of those registered in these lists for the southern region was 4701 families and 6726 for the displaced persons of the eastern region.”

He continued by saying: “This committee referred these lists to the Civil Status Authority to verify their authenticity and check the national numbers and entry numbers for these displaced families. The committee also sorted and audited these lists and referred them to the bank’s financial department.”

Cheques have actually been issued to 3,794 families of the displaced and may reach their banks today or tomorrow to benefit from them.

The dollar is rising

Aman Bank reports receipt of the supplement for the children’s allowance for the months for the year 2020

Aman Bank reported to all customers that it had received from the Ministry of Social Affairs the supplement for children’s allowance (6717 accounts) for the months of July, August, September, October, November and December for 2020.

As it has been included in the customers’ accounts, you can withdraw in one of the following ways: Whether you withdraw by check book with an open ceiling, you withdraw with a local card with a ceiling of 1000 dinars per day, or you withdraw without a card (Aman Mobile Service) with a ceiling of 400 dinars per day.

The Libyan Prime Minister visits the Cabinet Office in Benghazi

The Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of the House of Representatives, Fathi Bashagha, visited the Cabinet Office in the city of Benghazi, as part of his tour in the east of the country.

A consultative meeting was held during which the plans developed by the ministries for the course of their work during the current year 2022 were discussed, and for his part, the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Al-Qatrani confirmed that the Prime Minister will facilitate all the procedures for the ministries, which will provide services to the citizen directly.

Dbeibeh discusses with the Italian ambassador to Libya the development of oil cooperation between the two countries

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met today, Tuesday, with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino.

The meeting dealt with discussing a number of economic files, including the development of oil cooperation between the two countries.

Retirees Syndicate: “The decision of the National Unity Council of Ministers ensures that the increase is paid in full on a monthly basis”

The media office of the General Syndicate of Retirees announced that what the Council of Ministers had done in the National Unity Government to amend Resolution 444 of 2022 would guarantee the full disbursement of the increase of 900 dinars per month and the percentage of health insurance.

The Cabinet’s Resolution of the National Unity Government No. 406 of 2022, was published in a prevous time, regarding the amendment of Council Resolution No. 444 of 2021 and the report of the provisions of the Social Security Fund.

The decision also included the amendment of Article 1 of the decision regarding the imposed contributions, whereby the following contributions are imposed in exchange for cash benefits, which are the pension contribution, the assistance contribution to self-employed workers, the lump-sum grants contribution, total subsidies, the basic pension contribution, and the health care contribution.

The Social Security Fund records the surplus of monthly contributions after paying the pensions to their beneficiaries within the general reserve of the Fund. The balance of the contributions restricted in the general reserve may only be used to cover the deficit that occurs in the financing of pensions. The finance undertakes to cover the deficit differences from the item of the general budget reserve or what the Council of Ministers decides in particular.

A committee will also be formed, by a decision of the Minister of Finance, between the latter, the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation and the Guarantee Fund, to prepare an integrated scientific study regarding the entry of self-employed workers and the contribution of assistance to be determined for the category of self-employed workers.

The Finance ministry, in coordination with the Social Security Fund, undertakes an actuarial assessment of the financial position of the Social Security Fund every three years, on the basis of which the rates of contributions for categories of participants are determined, either by decreasing, increasing or maintaining them, and it is presented to the Council of Ministers to take the necessary action.

The ministerial committee formed by the Libyan government to submit the budget proposal holds its first meeting

On Monday, the ministerial committee formed by the Council of Ministers of the Libyan government in charge of studying and submitting a proposal for the general budget law held its first meeting to lay out the features of the draft budget.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Khaled Al-Osta, the Minister of Planning and Finance Usama Hamad, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Awad Al-Badri, the Minister of Defense Ahmid Huma, the Minister of Public Works Nasr Mohamed and the Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Farhat and the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Intisar Abboud.

The committee has also worked on setting the main lines and features of the draft budget law in a manner that responds to the objectives of the Libyan government’s program of rationalizing spending, alleviating the impact of inflation on citizens, and allocating financial resources to service sectors according to clear programs and goals.

The committee indicated that it will hold other meetings in order to finalize the observations and recommendations of the ministries and sectors of the Libyan government to finalize the draft of the general budget and refer it to the House of Representatives for discussion and approval.

The Minister of Social Affairs clarifies the developments of the wife and children grant

The Minister of Social Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Wafa Al-Kilani, said that the ministry worked during the month of Ramadan to complete the procedures for the supplement of families that had not been paid the children’s grant and had previously entered their data through the system of the wife and children grant project.

Al-Kilani explained in a statement today, Tuesday, that the total value that was included through the appendix for these families amounted to about 52 million dinars, noting that this value was referred to the banks yesterday, Monday, for about 66,000 families, for about 84,000 children.

The Minister also indicated that the Ministry of Social Affairs has completed the first phase of processing the grant for the displaced by sending financial instruments to banks to disburse them to their beneficiaries, and that work is underway to disburse the rest of the payments successively.

Al-Qayeb announces the refusal of the national unity to implement a decision to allocate an amount of money to the education sector

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Imran al-Qayeb, announced that he had received the response yesterday from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers regarding the implementation of Resolution No. 554.

The proposal submitted by the Minister to allocate an amount of money from the emergency budget to cover the implementation of the decision to include the segment of employees and repeaters in Law No. 4 of 2018 was rejected.

Bashagha visits Benghazi hospitals to see the progress of work and the capabilities they need

Today, Monday, the Prime Minister of the Libyan government designated by the House of Representatives, Fathi Bashagha, visited Al-Hawari General Hospital and Benghazi Medical Center, accompanied by the Minister of Health of the Libyan Government, Othman Abdel Jalil.

Bashagha was briefed on the progress of work in the various units and departments, and listened to the concerns of the medical staff based on them.

During his visit, Bashagha stressed the need to develop the health sector in Libya and equip hospitals with the medical supplies and equipment they need, in addition to establishing other treatment centers that are specialized in different fields, in order to localize treatment at home and spare the citizen the hardship of traveling outside the country in order to receive treatment.
