The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aquila Saleh, called on the Libyan Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, the Minister of Planning and of Finance in the government, Ussama Hammad, the Presidency of the House of Representatives, the Finance and Planning Committee of the Council, the two boards of directors of the Central Bank of Libya, the National Oil Corporation, the regulatory bodies represented by the Administrative Control Authority, the Audit Bureau and the Anti-Corruption” to attend the meeting to be held in Sirte next Tuesday.
According to observers, the call for this meeting comes to support the Libyan government headed by Bashagha elected by Parliament since last February, which is expected to start its work from the city of Sirte after its president failed to receive the government headquarters in the capital, Tripoli. It is also expected to discuss the state’s general budget for 2022 which were referred by the Libyan government to Parliament, and amounted to a total of 94.8 billion dinars.
