The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Aoun, participated in the 13th symposium that brings together the World Energy Organization, the World Energy Forum, and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), in the presence of Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud and the Pakistani Oil Minister.

The symposium discussed the energy transformation of alternative energies and the future uses of crude oil, where it was stressed the need to take into account the specificity of the African continent in exploiting its oil and other natural resources, and it can be concluded that the need for crude oil as fuel will continue for longer periods than has been determined.

It is worth noting that Libya became the 72nd member of this forum after the decision of the national unity government to join this forum.

The symposium was attended by a number of energy ministers, the Secretary General of OPEC, the Secretary of the World Energy Forum, the Secretary General of APO (Organization of African Oil Producing Countries), and many experts and specialists in the fields of energy.
