Al-Sour imprisons the director of Waha Bank for deliberately granting credit facilities in the amount of one billion and 225 million

Today, Thursday, the Attorney General, Seddiq Al-Sour, ordered the imprisonment of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Waha Bank with a number of the officials, for deliberately granting credit facilities in the amount of one billion and 250 million dinars, after the investigator inferred the direction of the work leaders’ behavior, towards breaking the covenant of fulfilling the responsibility and betraying the duty of the trust that they carried.

The investigator conducted an interrogation of the chairman of the board of directors, his deputy, and officials of the bank, and they did not come up with evidence of the misuse of the powers of the position for the purpose of achieving illegal benefits, and their responsibility for the serious damage that affected public money.

The first procedures dealt with an investigation of the legality of liquidating the amount of 600 million dinars for the benefit of two people, so the research indicated that the amount was intentionally liquidated by exceeding the limits of credit concentration, and the absence of in-kind guarantees that guarantee its fulfillment, in addition to the knowledge of the bank officials that the contractual link between Waha Bank and some companies that the perpetrators said they own its shares, and that the procedures should be built for the rest of the facilities on what was written contrary to the truth.

The investigator of the Public Prosecution took precautionary measures aimed at seizing and bringing absentees, preventing the disposal of funds and real estate owned by all the accused, and keeping track of what their spouses and children acquired.
