Al-Manqoush summons the Egyptian Chargé d’Affairs about what was circulated on one of the Egyptian channels, and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds

Today, Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, summoned the Chargé d’Affairs of the Egyptian Embassy, ​​Tamer Mustafa, about what was circulated in an Egyptian program regarding the disregard for Libyan sovereignty and the government of national unity, and the comparison of what is happening between Ukraine and Russia to the relationship between Egypt and Libya.

Al-Manqoush confirmed that the historical relationship between Libya and Egypt is greater and deeper than any political orientations or polarizations.

The official spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafedh, refused to comment on the Libyan Foreign Ministry statement, stressing that all Egyptian and foreign media, newspapers and channels operate in Egypt with complete freedom and that they express their point of view on various issues, and that the official position of the Egyptian state is expressed through statements. issued by the Egyptian government.

He added that Egypt’s relationship with the State of Libya over the past years has always been characterized by its keenness to preserve Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to meet the will of its people without external interference in connection with the brotherhood and historical relationship that binds the peoples of the two countries, stressing the need to focus efforts in order to strengthen and consolidate these principles, through official channels and communications that bring Egypt together with all the Libyan political spectrum.
