Al-Manfi Stresses the Importance of Returning Life to Murzuq and Renews his Call to CBL and the Ministries to Quickly Submit Financial Statements

The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, chaired the 5th meeting of the Supreme Finance Committee, in the presence of the committee members, stressing the importance of returning life to the city of Murzuq and implementing its reconstruction plans and the neglected areas in the south.

Al-Manfi praised the practical measures taken by members of the military establishment and security services in the southern region in the face of the repercussions of the unfortunate events that the country’s southern neighbors are experiencing, renewing his call on the relevant ministries and the Central Bank to quickly submit detailed financial statements, especially related to Chapter Three for the year 2022.

Al-Manfi added that Sabha has always represented the most important pillar of any national project and its people were linked to the just national and Islamic issues of our nation.

Al-Manfi stressed that everyone must protect the facilities of the National Oil Corporation and the General Electricity Company and agree on a comprehensive strategy for the energy sector by forming a technical committee of experts in particular.

As he said, “We are surprised by the questioning of the legality of the formation of the committee more than 60 days after its formation, and we confirm that the Constitutional Chamber is active and can be appealed to.”

The Chairman of the Committee added that our continued holding of Finance Committee meetings in all cities and regions of Libya is a real indicator of the recovery of the security situation in our country and the promotion of national reconciliation over what is below it. The Committee is also continuing with its national duty, which is clearly supported unanimously by the Security Council in line with its package of decisions in particular, including the political agreement and the road map.
