Al-Huwaij discusses activating Libya’s membership in the Council of Arab Economic Unity and ways to support the development of the investment, trade and industry sectors in the country
The Minister of Economy and Trade, Muhammad Al-Huwaij, discussed with the General Secretary of the Arab Economic Unity Council, Muhammadi Al-Ni, in a meeting yesterday, Saturday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, ways to activate Libya’s membership in the Council and the aspects of support required to activate and develop the investment, trade and industry sectors in the State of Libya.
Al-Huwaij stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation between the Council of Arab Economic Unity, the private sector and investors in the region, and the development of a joint work strategy with the Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry to achieve economic integration and enhance intra-trade among Arab countries, stressing that the State of Libya is working to strengthen its role in the region in all fields with the aim of Settling industries, achieving economic diversification and spatial development.
The Ministry of Economy and Trade discussed with the General Secretary of the Council of Arab Economic Unity the council’s plan to support the reconstruction of the State of Libya and direct quality and specialized Arab unions, business owners and investors towards the State of Libya to participate in the implementation of investment projects in various sectors.
