Abu Janah signs a memorandum of understanding with the International Medical Center in Egypt

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah, signed today, Monday, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity and the International Medical Center in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of representatives from the committee assigned by the President of the Libyan Audit Bureau.

This also comes within a framework of cooperation, building strategic partnerships, building bridges of trust and positive communication between the Ministry of Health of the National Unity Government and the Global Medicine Center of the Ministry of Defense in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Abu Janah indicated that this is the first stage and the beginning of establishing an integrated health system for Libyan patients who receive treatment in the squares abroad, stressing the determination and keenness of the National Unity Government to complete such agreements and contracts with the Arab Republic of Egypt in the health field, explaining the depth of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

As the memorandum would exchange professional and scientific experiences, share databases, agreements, contracts, protocols, joint areas of work, and twinning programs between the corresponding treatment centers at home and the International Medical Center in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

This memorandum also stipulates observance of all controls related to controlling the field of medical responsibility, in addition to treating Libyan patients with the same standard price lists approved for the treatment of Egyptian patients, in accordance with lists of therapeutic benefits represented in the treatment of tumor diseases, spinal muscular atrophy, transplants (liver, kidney, marrow) and column surgeries. Spine, cardiac and complex neurosurgeries, which include a specification brochure for the contracting process and the completion of the stages of purchasing treatment services.
