The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddiq Al-Kabeer, and a team from the Central Bank held a meeting today, Tuesday, with the US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, Eric Meyer, the US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and representatives of the US Treasury and State Department at the US Treasury headquarters in Washington, DC.
During the meeting, they discussed joint cooperation in combating money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism, and the results of Article IV consultations with the International Monetary Fund.
The efforts of the Central Bank, in partnership with the Government of National Unity, to invest in renewable energy and raise oil production rates were also discussed.
