Dbeibeh is following up the plans of the Man-made River Authority to maintain a number of wells and increase productivity to 2 million cubic meters

The head of the government of national unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, followed up, during his meeting today, Sunday, with the Administrative Committee of the Man-made River Authority, the plans to maintain a number of wells in the areas of al-Hasawneh, Al-Sarir, and Tazerbu, and to increase productivity to two million cubic meters.

The meeting, which was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Company for Water and Wastewater and the head of the Agency for the Implementation of Housing and Utilities Projects, was devoted to following up on the agency’s plan to maintain 147 idle wells in the Al-Hasawneh area, and to implement the “Ghadames-Zuwara-Zawiya” water supply project, which feeds more than 27 cities and regions, as well as Monitoring the production of the “Al-Sarir-Tazerbu-Benghazi” wells, through which the productivity will be increased to 2 million cubic meters compared to the current production, which currently amounts to 1,100,000 cubic meters.

During the meeting, the security plan implemented by the Law Enforcement Department was followed up in coordination with the agency, which contributed to limiting abuses and malfunctions in the system. It was agreed to hold another meeting to present the agency’s plan in the presence of the relevant authorities and to adopt the action plan for the year 2023.
