Al-Huwaij chairs the first meeting of the economic diversification project funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France

On Friday in the Republic of Tunisia, the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, chaired the first meeting of the economic diversification project funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France Foundation, in the presence of the Coordinator of Economic Diversity and Higher Education at the European Union Mission to Libya, Francesca Coccia, the Vice President of the European Program, Mohamed Al-Aswad, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Saleh Al-Ghoul, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, Nasr Al-Din Al-Fazani.

During his opening speech, Al-Huwaij stressed the importance of the economic diversification project, which comes among the priorities of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, and the urgent need for the participation of all Libyan sectors in it, spreading the culture of investment and exploiting the diverse economic opportunities that Libya abounds in, stressing the importance of the Libyan-European partnership in all economic, political, security and environmental fields.

For her part, Francesca praised the importance and commitment of the European Union and Expertise France to support the improvement of the business environment and the importance of the economic diversification project, which is the advanced stage of the private sector support program in Libya, which is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Trade in addition to a number of sectors.
