The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met today, Friday, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in order to follow up on the political file as well as a number of economic, military and political files.
The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, the Ministers of State for Cabinet Affairs, Communication and Political Affairs, and the Advisor to the Central Governor.
It focused on following up the political file, unifying international and local efforts to support the elections, in addition to discussing the number of economic files in the public and private sectors, as well as increasing military cooperation between the two countries through training and development for all military and supporting forces.
For his part, the Turkish President stressed the need to preserve the security and safety of Tripoli from any military attempts, and change can only take place through elections, stressing his support and cooperation with Libya in all economic, security and military fields, praising the lives of those who fell in the recent attack.
For his part, Dbeibeh pointed to the importance of Turkey’s role in supporting international efforts to push and support the elections file as an international priority, considering that what happened in the capital, Tripoli, last week is an attempt to seize power by means of weapons and conspiracies, and “there is no alternative for our country except elections.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed on a work program between the two countries that includes military and energy cooperation, and the return of Turkish companies to complete the suspended projects.
