Dbeibeh meets his Maltese counterpart and stresses the role of the Maltese embassy in granting visas and encouraging cooperation between the private sector in Libya and Malta

Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba held a session of talks with his Maltese counterpart, Robert Abela, at the Prime Minister’s headquarters in the capital, Valletta, in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Siddiq Al-Kabeer, the Minister of Environment, Ibrahim Munir, of Marine Wealth Adel Sultan, of the State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, and the Director of the Telecom Holding Company, Mohamed Ben Ayed, and from the Maltese side, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministers of Health, of Foreign Affairs, of Economy and of Energy.

The talks dealt with the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of health, environment, marine wealth, illegal immigration, and the opening of airspace.

Dbeibeh stressed the importance of advancing cooperation efforts between the two countries in accordance with the vision that the government is working on to reform the health sector in Libya and improve services, stressing the role of Malta in advancing cooperation between the two countries through the role of the Maltese embassy in granting visas and encouraging cooperation between the private sector in Libya and Malta.
