Al-Hibri: “We have prepared a preliminary study regarding the exchange rate, and we will call a meeting within the next two weeks to take the necessary measures”

Today, Thursday, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Ali Al-Hibri, revealed an official meeting that will take place within the next two weeks to exchange views and take the necessary decisions regarding the exchange rate, even if the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya in Tripoli, Seddiq Al-Kabeer won’t attend.

Al-Hibri confirmed: “We have not received any response from the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Tripoli, Seddiq Al-Kabeer, regarding the secret discussion of the exchange rate, pointing out that the Al-Bayda Central Bank has prepared a preliminary study on the exchange rate to address monetary policy and public spending.”

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya in Al-Bayda indicated that imported inflation is affecting Libya and other countries with many problems after the political developments related to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
