Dbeibeh: “Whoever shuts off oil and water is putting an end to the lifeblood of the people”

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, called for the need to restructure the management of the General Electricity Company, following the sixth cabinet meeting today, Wednesday.

Dbeibeh said that it is scheduled to implement 8 power stations, two or three of which have been completed so far, while the rest are awaiting completion.

In another context, the Prime Minister demanded a return from the operations of locking oil rights, stressing that these actions are “a destruction of the Libyan economy and not of our government or their government,” as he said.

Dbeibeh added: “Whoever shutting off the oil and water is putting an end to the lifeblood of the people,” wishing not to hear news about the closure of any port or field.

Dbeibeh also expressed during the meeting his quest for the Libyans to have a quiet summer without wars, killing, division or confusion.
