Dbeibeh stresses his government’s desire to implement the elections, and the US ambassador stresses the importance of disclosing government expenditures and putting pressure on the elections

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, discussed with the Ambassador of the United States of America Richard Norland today, Tuesday, during a closed-circuit call, the latest developments in the political process, efforts made to achieve elections, and enhance the principle of transparency and disclosure in the management of oil revenues.

For his part, Dbeibeh expressed the government’s desire to implement the elections and provide all necessary support for them, and not to allow any party to obstruct and extend this mission, indicating that any change must take place through peaceful and legal methods, not through the use of force of arms and imposing fact.

For his part, the US ambassador affirmed his country’s support for all efforts made to reach a constitutional base and hold national elections, stressing the importance of pressure towards holding elections, the programs of the government and the Central Bank of Libya related to the disclosure of government expenditures because of their political and economic importance.
