Bashagha stresses the need to put in place strict measures against some financial institutions that support military operations in Tripoli

The Libyan Prime Minister-designate by the House of Representatives, Fathi Bashagha, discussed today, Thursday, through a phone call with the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Harndell, the military escalation carried out by armed groups affiliated with the Government of National Unity, in addition to talking about the support of some financial institutions for military operations in Tripoli.

Bashagha affirmed his and his government’s commitment to the principle of preserving the ceasefire agreement and the safety of civilians, and the international community must play its part in the direction of these actions. He stressed the need to take strict measures regarding the support of some financial institutions for military operations in Tripoli.
