The Public Prosecution orders the pretrial detention of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Zawia University, to be investigated for committing the crime of forgery and collecting illegal material benefits

The Deputy Public Prosecution in the Office of the General Attorney initiated investigation procedures into the incident of the accused assuming the position of Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Zawia University without having the exact license, or the equivalent of certificates recognized by the competent authority.

The procedures for collecting evidence revealed that the accused had stopped studying to obtain the leave for which he had been delegated since 2009, as well as intentionally submitting an accurate leave certificate attributed to the University of Delaware in the United States, contrary to the truth.

The investigator ended up ordering the pretrial detention of the accused, pending investigation, for committing the crime of forgery and collecting illegal material benefits.
