Libya: UNICEF launches a campaign to combat coronavirus in the south

The National Center for Disease Control, together and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), have launched the national campaign to combat the emerging coronavirus in southern Libya.

The campaign was launched in the presence of representatives of the World Health Organization – Libya Office, International Organization for Migration, UNHCR, German Foundation for International Cooperation, UN Women, Danish Refugee Support Council, Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development, International Medical Corps.

According to a statement by the NCDC, the campaign aims to reduce the spread of the Corona epidemic “by publishing facts and providing guidance on preventive measures across all available media in the south, including local TV stations, radio channels, and special pages on the Internet, and through means Social Media.”

The center pointed out that the campaign also aims to “work with the main influencers in society and health workers.”
