Aqila Saleh: “As Speaker of Parliament, no one of my sons nor my wife has been treated at the expense of the state, and I do not even receive phone cards”

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, said that the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, bears the responsibility for the failure of his government’s performance.

Aqila Saleh added in televised statements that the salaries of Libyans are low and will be raised soon in proportion to the current circumstances, pointing out that the grants distributed by the government of Dbeibeh are unfair and represent corruption and violation of laws.

The Speaker of Parliament confirmed that the Bashagha government came to provide services to the people and hold elections, explaining that the salaries of Libyans are low and will be raised soon in line with the current circumstances.

Aqila pointed out that the House of Representatives did not overspend. He said: “We are working to determine the budget through the least costly alternatives,” pointing out that “as Speaker of Parliament, no one of my sons nor my wife or my daughter has been treated at the expense of the state, and I do not even receive phone cards.”
