{"id":33455,"date":"2021-05-24T15:23:47","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T15:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tabadul.demo.ly\/en\/co-chairs-of-the-economic-working-group-convene-inaugural-meeting-with-the-gnu\/"},"modified":"2021-05-24T15:23:47","modified_gmt":"2021-05-24T15:23:47","slug":"co-chairs-of-the-economic-working-group-convene-inaugural-meeting-with-the-gnu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tabadul.tv\/en\/co-chairs-of-the-economic-working-group-convene-inaugural-meeting-with-the-gnu\/","title":{"rendered":"Co-Chairs of the Economic Working Group convene inaugural meeting with the GNU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>On 23 May, the Co-Chairs of the Economic Working Group (EWG) including the UNSMIL\u00a0CoordinatorRaisedon\u00a0Zenenga,together with the\u00a0\u00a0Ambassador\u00a0Mohamed\u00a0Abubakr of Egypt,\u00a0Special Envoy and\u00a0Ambassador\u00a0Richard\u00a0Norland of the\u00a0United States of America,and Ambassador\u00a0Jose\u00a0Sabadell of the\u00a0European Unionconvened a meeting with the Government of National Unity to review the Economic Track and discuss collaboration on the way forward.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The\u00a0Government of National Unity\u00a0was represented by a high-level delegation from the\u00a0Ministries\u00a0of Economy, Finance, Planning, Foreign Affairs, and\u00a0the Prime Minister\u2019s Office.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All participants agreed on the importance of\u00a0maintaining the momentum on the economic track,\u00a0including on further developing and harmonizing critical policies and moving forward with the unification of Libya\u2019s financial and economic institutions. Among the issues discussed was the importance of the swift adoption of the 2021\u00a0national budget.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participants emphasized the interconnectedness between the economic, political, and security tracks of the Berlin Process and the importance of parallel progress in all tracks.
