Photos of the boats disseminated by the Customs Department suggest that they are used boats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe movement of these powerboats was considered restricted as contents within were maritime equipment suspected to potentially facilitate illegal migration,\u201d the department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It added that\u00a0the boats were prevented from proceeding to their intended destination on the provisions of a legal notice enacted this year introducing measures to combat smuggling activities in the central Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tabadul.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/%D9%88%D8%B2%D9%8A%D8%B1-%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B7%D8%A7.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Powerboats destined for Libya have been stopped by the Customs Department at Malta Freeport over suspicion they were going to be used to ferry migrants.
