On Monday, the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed at the Bureau’s headquarters with the Chief of the General Staff, the commander of the southern region, Mohamed Al-Haddad, and the director of the Military Accounts Department and the relevant departments in the Bureau, some files, including the file of the failure to pay the salaries of the members of the southern military region, as well as the mechanism for liquidating allocations of areas and military units and ensure their flow in a way that does not negatively affect their performance.
Al-Haddad affirmed his keenness to follow up on the implementation of the Bureau’s recommendations and observations, praising the importance of his role in the follow-up.
For his part, Shakshak stressed the need to continue holding meetings between the relevant departments of the Bureau and the Chief of Staff to resolve outstanding issues and take into account disclosure standards when distributing allocations and following up on their closure regularly, and it was agreed to proceed directly with the payment of salaries due to the members of the southern military region, by monitoring the financial services of Sebha.
