Al-Huwaij, Al-Kabeer and Al-Raid participate in the Turkish-Arab Economic Forum in Istanbul

A high-level Libyan delegation headed by the Minister of Economy and Trade in the National Unity Government, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, participated in the activities of the Turkish-Arab Economic Forum, which was held yesterday in Istanbul, Turkey, and was devoted to discussing investment prospects between Turkey and Arab countries, business and investment opportunities in Libya, and economic transformation in the economies of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The delegation of the State of Libya participating in this forum included, in addition to the Minister of Economy, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddiq Al-Kabeer, and the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mohamed Al-Raid, the head of the Libyan Company for the Management of Joint Projects with the Private Sector, Abdul Majid Mleigta, the Libyan Consul General in Istanbul, Salah Al-Din Al-Kaseh, and the Libyan Commercial Attaché in Istanbul, Omar Darhub.

In his speech during the forum, Al-Huwaij stressed the importance of economic exchange between Libya and Turkey, adding that the State of Turkey was and still is the first partner in construction, infrastructure and trade projects in the past, present and future. He explained that the future vision of the national unity government is to strive to diversify the sources of income in the Libyan state with Turkey and the countries of the whole world and not to rely on oil income only.
