اجتمعت مصلحة المطارات مع شركة البيرق التركية، بشأن مشروع إعداد مخطط عام لمطار مصراتة الدولي،وقد قدمت الشركة عرضا رئيسا يتضمن تطوير المنطقة المخصصة للجانب المدني بالمطار بمساحة إجمالية تبلغ 610 هكتارات.

كما استعرضت الشركة التركية المناطق المستهدفة بالإضافة إلى مكونات المشروع الرئيسة وتوزيعها, ومن بينها محطة الركاب ومواقف الطائرات وحظائر الشحن إلى جانب مراكز صيانة الطائرات ومحطات تزويد الوقود والبنية التحتية والخدمية الأخرى ذات العلاقة بتشغيل المطار

وشمل العرض سبل تقديم الخدمات بالجانبين الجوي والبري بما يتماشى مع النمو المستقبلي المتوقع لحركة المسافرين والشحن، وحسب المعايير المتعارف عليها محليًا ودوليًا.
