افتتحت الاثنين وحدة تفتيت الحصى بمستشفى طرابلس الجامعي لتدخل هذه التقنية الخدمة من جديد في ثاني مستشفى بالعاصمة طرابلس بعد أن جرى افتتاح وحدة أخرى بمستشفى طرابلس المركزي.

وتُعد تقنية تفتيت الحصى بالموجات التصادمية إحدى التقنيات العلاجية المتوفرة قبل أكثر من 7 سنوات داخل مستشفى طرابلس المركزي ومستشفى طرابلس الجامعي، إلا أن الأجهزة التي كانت تستخدم آنذاك خرجت عن الخدمة بسبب انتهاء العمر الافتراضي لها واقتصرت أساليب تفتيت حصوات الكلى في القطاع العام لسنوات على الجراحة أو التنظير.

وكان مستشفى طرابلس المركزي قد تسلم جهاز تفتيت حصى حديث ألماني مصنّع من شركة “Ziehm Imaging “، تنفيذًا لخطة الوزارة التي أطلقها لدعم الخدمات الطبية التي يقدمها القطاع العام.
